Family Disconnect

Family Disconnect is an online art therapy offering for individuals and families. It can be difficult to resolve family disconnect without help as patterns of communication and behaviour can create seemingly unbridgeable chasms between the people involved.

There is hope. Conflict with a family member happens to us all in one way or another. The feelings that flow from disagreements, or ruptures, can be resolved on a personal level. Whether it’s through family separation, divorce, abandonment, physical violence, emotional/ physical neglect, bickering, scapegoating or verbal abuse; the ones we depend on and care about can hurt us the most. We can balm our wounds and learn to be compassionate with ourselves and others.

At Equanimity Arts we have designed sessions for individuals and family groups to work towards their goals. Art making is an effective alternative to talking through narratives and experiences which often impede progress in the repair of relationships.
