OUR PEOPLE

Equanimity Arts™ is an artist-run creative studio founded by two practicing artists and registered therapeutic arts practitioners.

Artist, arts educator and registered art therapist Nicola Black, and installation artist and Creative & Experiential Therapist Madeline Fountain, met while undertaking their Master of Art Therapy degrees in 2021. United by a shared commitment to creative practice as a vehicle for insight, connection and collective wellbeing, they established Equanimity Arts as a space where contemporary art and therapeutic frameworks intersect.

Together, Nicola and Madeline combine complementary strengths in visual arts practice, education, research, facilitation and governance. Their work bridges immersive installation, group process and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, delivering programs and environments that support reflection, regulation and meaningful social connection.

Through Equanimity Arts™, they steward a practice grounded in artistic integrity, clinical ethics and a vision for a more cohesive and flourishing community.
